Free Tools

    Free job search tools

Seven free tools for the whole job search: build a thirteen-section resume, score it against a job description, see how an ATS reads it in vector space, run a six-stage board with search, sorting and a stale flag, write a cover letter of up to six paragraphs, compose XYZ-formula bullet points, and compare up to three offers with a year-by-year vesting table. Five of them need no account and never upload anything — they run entirely in your browser, and the free tier is the complete tool rather than a trimmed one. The two ATS tools send the text you paste to our scorer.

    Resume Builder

Thirteen sections, three templates, print to PDF

Thirteen sections from experience to certifications, languages, publications and references — reorder them, rename them, hide individual entries, and set the template, typeface, size, leading, margin and A4 or Letter. Keep several resumes in this browser, import and export JSON, and get a free per-line critique of every bullet. Runs entirely in your browser — no account, nothing uploaded.

    Job Application Tracker

A six-stage board with search, sort and a quiet-card flag

Move roles across Saved, Applied, Interviewing, Offer, Accepted and Rejected, then search, filter by stage and sort five ways. A counts strip and a stale flag are computed from the dates you entered, and each card opens a panel for follow-up and interview dates, contacts, excitement, notes and its stage history. Export CSV or JSON. Runs entirely in your browser — the board is saved on this device only.

    ATS Resume Checker

Score your resume against any job description

Paste a resume and a job description to get a match score plus the keywords you have and the ones you are missing. Scoring happens on our server, so this one sends your pasted text.

    ATS Embedding Visualizer

See your resume and a job description in vector space

Plots resume chunks and job-description chunks on the same 2D map so you can see which requirements have no match nearby. Uses our embedding server, so this one sends your pasted text.

    Cover Letter Builder

Up to six paragraphs, three tones, three lengths

Write up to six paragraphs, reorder them, and get a free named critique of each one. Paste the posting to see which words it keeps repeating, pick a tone and a length, keep several letters side by side, and copy, print or download the result as .txt. Template assembly and local word counting, not AI, and it never shows a match score. Runs entirely in your browser.

    Resume Bullet Point Builder

Compose XYZ bullets and see exactly which rules they miss

Compose bullets as "did X, as measured by Y, by doing Z" and see which of seven named rules each line clears — no score, just the findings and the words that triggered them. Save a library, tag the bullets, get stronger-verb suggestions, and be warned when several of your bullets open on the same verb. Send a finished bullet straight into the resume builder. Runs entirely in your browser.

    Job Offer Comparison Calculator

Compare up to three offers on your own numbers

Annualises base, bonus, equity, signing and 401(k) match, models the vesting cliff, refreshers and match vesting year by year, then adjusts for a cost-of-living index, commute cost and remote days that you supply. Save named scenario sets, stress-test which single input flips the ranking, and print the summary. It ships no salary, tax or cost-of-living data at all. Runs entirely in your browser.

What is free, and what needs a free account?

Nothing on this domain calls an AI. The critique inside the free builders is a published list of rules in the page’s own JavaScript, and every example it shows is a fixed illustration rather than something written from your text. Every affordance that does need an account says so before you click it, never after.

    Frequently asked questions

Are these job search tools actually free?

Yes. All seven are free with no card and no watermark. Five of them — the resume builder, the job application tracker, the cover letter builder, the bullet point builder, and the offer calculator — need no account at all and run entirely inside your browser. The two ATS tools need no account either, but they do send the text you paste to our scorer, because the scoring model runs on a server.

Which tools work without an account?

All of them work without an account, and none of them is a cropped version of something better. The resume builder gives you all thirteen sections, every template and typography control, several resumes and print-to-PDF. The tracker gives you the whole board, search, sort, the stale flag and CSV export. The cover letter builder gives you all six paragraphs, all three tones and lengths, and the critique of each one. The bullet builder gives you every check and the saved library. The offer calculator gives you the vesting table, the sensitivity view and saved scenarios. There are exactly two things a free ResumeAI account adds: AI rewriting of your own writing, and uploading a PDF or DOCX resume you already have. It also adds cloud sync across devices and matched jobs landing on your tracker board.

Is my data uploaded when I use these tools?

For the five browser-only tools, no — your data is written to this browser's localStorage on this device and never sent anywhere. For the ATS resume checker and the ATS embedding visualizer, the text you paste is sent to our scoring service so it can be analysed; that is unavoidable for a model that does not run in a browser tab. The browser-only tools are labelled as such on this page.

What happens to my work if I clear my browser data?

It is gone. localStorage is per-browser and per-device, so clearing site data, using a private window, or moving to another machine loses whatever the browser-only tools were holding. Export or copy anything you care about — the tracker has a JSON export and the builders have copy and print-to-PDF — or create a free account, which is precisely what cloud sync solves.

Start with the one that matches your problem.

Every tool above works right now with no account. A free ResumeAI account is what adds AI rewriting, ATS scoring, cloud sync, and matched jobs landing on your board.
