    Privacy Policy

At Resume AI, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site.

    Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including but not limited to your name, email address, phone number, and any other information you choose to provide. We also automatically collect certain information about your device when you use our services, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, session duration, and other technical information through cookies and analytics technologies described below. When you are signed in to your account, the usage data we collect about how you use our web application is associated with your account.

    How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, to communicate with you, to develop new features, and to protect our services and our users. We may also use your information to send you marketing communications, but you can opt out of these communications at any time.

    Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-NDF0G21SKJ), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device (including _ga, _gid, and _gat) that collect information such as your IP address (truncated within Google's network), pages viewed, time spent on pages, referring source, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location. We use Google Analytics data in aggregate to measure traffic, improve content, and optimize the user experience — we do not use Google Analytics data to identify individual visitors or to track you across other websites. We also use a separate product analytics service, PostHog, which is described in the next section. Google processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), by clearing or blocking analytics cookies in your browser, or by browsing in private/incognito mode. For more details on cookies, see our Cookies Policy.

    Product Analytics (PostHog)

On our website and in our web application we use PostHog, a product analytics service provided by PostHog, Inc. Our PostHog project is hosted in PostHog's United States cloud region, so this data is transferred to and stored in the United States. Analytics events are sent from your browser to a path on our own domain (/ingest) and then forwarded to PostHog. PostHog collects page views, page leaves (which tell us how long a page was open), clicks and other interactions with the page, product events that we define (for example, steps completed during onboarding), your device type, browser and operating system, the referring page, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Visitors to our website, and anyone who is not signed in, are recorded anonymously without creating a personal profile. When you sign in, your events are linked to your account and we send PostHog the following account details: your account ID, email address, full name, account role, whether you have a premium plan, whether your account is an administrator account, your user segment, whether you have completed onboarding, and how you told us you heard about us (referral source). This link is reset when you sign out. We may also use PostHog session replay to record how pages in the web application are used, such as mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling; all text you type into form fields is masked and is not recorded. Before any event is sent, we remove the private access tokens contained in document signing links (/sign/ URLs). PostHog stores a first-party cookie named ph_<project_key>_posthog, which holds a randomly generated identifier and session information and by default expires after about one year, along with browser local storage entries that use the same prefix. We use this information to understand how our product is used, find and fix usability problems, measure onboarding and other multi-step flows, and improve our features. We do not sell this data and we do not use it for advertising. You can limit this collection by clearing or blocking cookies and site data for our domain in your browser. If you have an account, you can ask us to delete the analytics data linked to it by emailing mail@rebuzzllc.com. For more details, see our Cookies Policy.

    Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties without your consent, except as described in this Privacy Policy. We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics (Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, and PostHog product analytics, provided by PostHog, Inc. in the United States), data processing, and customer service.

    International Data Transfers

Our service providers, including Google and PostHog, may process and store your information in the United States and other countries outside the country where you live. The data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your country. By using our services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these countries in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

    Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage. However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

    Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing of your information. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided below.

    Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the 'Last Updated' date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
